The «AZKOMPOZIT» company started production of composite products in 2006 in the city of Sumgait of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In a short period of time, the company, having increased its production capacity, has become a major manufacturer of fiberglass pipes.

The production was created to supply one of the world’s largest projects of the Oguz-Gabala-Baku drinking water pipeline with a total length of 260 km, built in 2007-2010. Fiberglass pipes and fittings with a diameter of 2000 mm and a nominal pressure class up to 25 atmospheres were mainly used in the installation of the pipeline.

After the completion of the Oguz-Gabala-Baku pipeline project, the company produces pipes for drinking water supply, sewerage, irrigation, cooling systems, hydroelectric power plants and other things both in Azerbaijan and abroad.

Production and testing of fiberglass pipes are carried out on modern equipment in accordance with the strict requirements of ISO, AWWA, ASTM, DIN, BS, API and other international and industry standards.

In order to diversify the product range, «AZKOMPOZIT» has mastered various technologies for the production of fiberglass products in recent years:

• Pultrusion technology: production of structural profiles made of fiberglass and the construction of a variety of anti-corrosion structures with their use.
• Technology of molded fiberglass grating: used as flooring in all aggressive environments.
• Continuous sheet lamination technology: production of fiberglass roofing sheets, facade panels for walls and other things.
• SMC technology (pressing molding 800 tn): manufacture of manhole covers and other durable fiberglass products.
• Manual lamination technology: manufacture of composite products according to special technical specifications, as well as almost all types of fittings for pipelines.

In 2008, «Azkompozit» Quality Management System was certified by the German TUV SUD certification body in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
