HISTORY OF “KOMPOZIT T.A.”

In the Republic of Tajikistan, access to clean water, sanitation, irrigation, and land reclamation has always been a priority. The government has consistently allocated significant funds for these purposes, along with financial assistance from international institutions.

Various projects for the construction or reconstruction of water networks are implemented annually in the country.

In this regard, the need arises to supply these projects with the necessary materials, particularly pipes of various diameters with the required rigidity and pressure resistance.

Considering these factors, the Tajik company “Avesto Group” and the Azerbaijani company “Azkompozit” agreed to establish a fiberglass pipe manufacturing plant “KOMPOZIT T.A.” in the Republic of Tajikistan.

In September 2019, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, along with other officials, laid the foundation stone of the new plant in the Sino district of Dushanbe.

The grand opening ceremony of the joint venture took place on 28.08.2021, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

Within two years, the plant was fully constructed. On a 4-hectare plot, a modern production complex was built from scratch, using the most advanced technologies for manufacturing fiberglass pipes.

As mentioned earlier, the goal of “KOMPOZIT T.A.” is to produce and supply world-class fiberglass pipes and fittings with diameters from DN400 to DN3000 for sustainable solutions to water supply and sanitation problems in Tajikistan and neighboring Central Asian countries.

The technology of “KOMPOZIT T.A.” is entirely based on the spiral winding know-how used by “Azkompozit”. This technology has been used for many years in the production of fiberglass pipes for various purposes, such as drinking water supply, irrigation, wastewater drainage, and for hydropower and other industrial sectors.
