Types of Connections for Fiberglass Pipes

Composite pipes from LLC “KOMPOZIT T.A.” are connected using various connection systems with EPDM sealing rings. The main type of pipe connection is bell-and-spigot; in addition, several types of connections listed below can be used:

Bell-and-spigot connection with a single sealing ring, for pipe connections with nominal pressure up to 6 atm;

Bell-and-spigot connection with a double sealing ring, for pipe connections with nominal pressure over 6 atm.

In special cases (at pipeline joints, when pipes pass through sleeves at highway crossings, in closed-loop systems), a rigid connection (lamination) is also used.

For connecting composite pipes with pipes made of other materials or equipment, flanged connections are mainly used. Pipe connections comply with the strict requirements of ASTM D 4161 standards.
